Cardano (ADA): Shelley Testnet update released

In the latest developer update, Christopher Greendwood, Head of Delivery at Cardano’s mother IOHK, addresses the current technical status of the potential Ethereum killer.Cardano made waves with the revised roadmap for the upcoming network update Shelley last week: The prospect that it will soon be possible for everyone to stack the cryptocurrency ADA is pushing ADA into price regions that have not been seen for a long time. At the time of writing, ADA is trading at $ 0.087, up almost 40 percent on a weekly comparison. The monthly balance sheet is even more impressive: ADA has increased by an impressive 77 percent in the last 30 days. Cardano, however, still has a long way to go to the all-time high of $ 1.18.

 

Friends and Family Testnet

Shelley’s code is expected to be completed by June 31, according to the roadmap. Shelley has been undergoing the final tests since May 11th. In the “Friends and Family Testnet”, handpicked “pioneers” Shelley are currently being put through their paces by IOHK and the Cardano Foundation and above all: bugs. The pioneers – now over 50 in number – operate 81 staking pools in the test network.In the latest update to the Shelley Testnet, Christopher Greenwood, Head of Delivery at IOHK, takes stock of the situation.
